Từ vựng mô tả xu hướng dạng Line Graph

1. Các từ vựng mô tả xu hướng thường dùng

Xu hướng tăng:

• Động từ: increase, rise, grow, go up, climb,…
• Danh từ: increase, rise, growth, upward trend,…

Xu hướng giảm:

• Động từ: decrease, decline, fall, drop,…
• Danh từ: decrease, decline, fall, drop, downward trend,…

Xu hướng duy trì ổn định ở mức nào đó:

• Động từ: remain/stay (stable), unchange, stabilize,…
• Danh từ: stability, steadiness, stableness, immobility,…

Xu hướng dao động:

• Động từ: fluctuate, vary, alter, shift, go up and down, swing,…
• Danh từ: fluctuation, variation, shift, alteration, swing,…

2. Các từ vựng mô tả tốc độ/mức độ của sự thay đổi

Thay đổi nhỏ:

• Tính từ: slight, marginal, moderate,…
• Trạng từ: slightly, marginally, moderately,…

Thay đổi từ từ theo thời gian:

• Tính từ: gradual, slow, steady,…
• Trạng từ: gradually, slowly, steadily,…

Thay đổi lớn:

• Tính từ: considerable, significant, substantial,…
• Trạng từ: considerably, significantly, substantially,…

 

Cấu trúc miêu tả xu hướng trong dạng bài Line Graph

Mẫu câu đơn:

• Subject + Verb + Adverb + Number + Time period

VD: The number of visitors increased significantly to 2000 in 2023.

• There + be + a/an + Adjective + Noun + Number + in + Subject + Time period

VD: There was a significant increase of 5000 in the number of tourists in 2023.

• Subject + experienced/saw/witnessed + a/an + Adjective + Noun + Number + Time period

VD: The number of tourists witnessed a significant increase of 5000 in 2023.

• A/an + Adjective + Noun + Number + was seen/witnessed + in + Subject + Time period

VD: A significant increase of 5000 was witnessed in the number of tourists in 2023.

• Time period + witnessed/saw/experienced + a/an + Adjective + Noun + in + Subject

VD: The year 2023 witnessed a significant increase of 5000 in the number of tourists.

Mẫu câu ghép:

Câu ghép: The number of tourists decreased slightly to 1500 in 2022 due to economic difficulties. However, the number of tourists increased significantly by 5000 in 2023.

Các cấu trúc viết câu ghép:

• Subject + Verb, which was followed by

VD: There was a fall to 1500 in the number of tourists in 2022, which was followed by an increase to 5000 in 2023.

• Subject + Verb, but later + Verb

VD: The number of tourists declined slightly to 1500 in 2022, but later went up sharply by 5000 in 2023.

• Subject + Verb before V-ing

VD: The number of tourists declined slightly to 1500 in 2022 before experiencing a significant increase of 5000 in 2023.
